Georgia-Pacific's Dixie Consumer Products is seeking qualified professionals for their Production Planner opportunity supporting the Fort Smith, Arkansas operation. This role is a key interlink between sales, product line, supply chain and our manufacturing. The Production Planner will service the production needs of the facility from vital supply ordering to the final finished good material and drive optimization of production planning in a high SKU manufacturing environment with multiple manufacturing lines.

What You Will Do

  • Create and execute optimized finite machine production schedules in support of the business demand and plant performance goals.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business, master scheduling and operation teams in support of achieving customer service level expectations.
  • Take ownership of daily and weekly production plans, identifying potential obstacles to completing plans efficiently while meeting production targets. Meet on a cadence with the manufacturing team to assess production schedules and adjust as necessary based on production results. Optimize run quantities and minimize changeovers.
  • Assure production plans are communicated timely and monitored. Daily assess material shortages that need to be expedited and follow up with the appropriate Deployment / Planning personnel to ensure commitments are achieved.
  • Maintain system parameters, data, and settings to ensure the various systems utilize accurate data.
  • Identify slow moving inventories and develop plans for disposition and waste reduction.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in material planning or inventory Control Management.
  • Experience working with an inventory control system.
  • High school diploma

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher within a Supply Chain, Purchasing or Business field
  • One (1) or more years of experience working within a manufacturing operation
  • Experience as a production scheduler/planner working within a manufacturing operation
  • Experience with SAP/WMS (Warehouse Management System) software
  • Experience in a high SKU environment with multiple manufacturing facilities and multiple warehouse locations
