Job Description

This is a non-supervisory position in Configuration Management (CM). Assignments are primarily in an office environment located at the Technology Center in Brunswick ME.

Core job functions include, but are not limited to:

    Lead, manage, and execute the CM Flight Upgrade Change Process in support of Lead Yard Services.
  • Provide back up and additional support to the Post Baseline CM Project Manager.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute DDG51 Change Status Reports.
  • Lead change management meetings with the DDG51 Navy, Huntington Ingalls, Subcontractors, Engineering, & Design.
  • Contribute to, and participate in, weekly Design & Program Office Change Management meetings.
  • Assist management with various initiatives and projects as required on the DDG 51 programs.
  • Address system and business process issues that could impact the ability to perform job functions.
  • Represent Management at various meetings and forums as assigned.
  • Prepare various quality metrics and work on initiatives to assist in streamlining process flow.
  • Create, define, maintain, and update department procedures and work instructions as required.
Required/Preferred Education/Training
  • Associates Degree plus two years of relevant experience preferred OR
  • Combination of four years of relevant experience and education
Required/Preferred Experience
  • Extremely proficient in all Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Strong proven Excel fundamentals: proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and reports are a must.
  • Experience with Configuration and Data Management Principles preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated organizational and analytical skills.
  • Must have good time management skills.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally.
  • This position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration and you must be able to obtain an interim security clearance within the first 45 days of hire.
