Job Description


About the Role:

As a Warehouse Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouse activities. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy and organization within the warehouse facility. Additionally, you will be responsible for inspecting goods for defects, preparing orders for shipment, and coordinating with other departments to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders, and inspect goods for damage or defects.
  • Properly store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring efficient use of space and easy accessibility.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements and shipping guidelines.
  • Coordinate outbound and inbound shipments, prepare shipping documents, and arrange transportation as necessary.
  • Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with established quality standards and procedures.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and report any safety hazards or incidents to management.
  • Collaborate with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings within the warehouse operation.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping materials.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience in forklift operation or other relevant equipment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or other continuous improvement methodologies.


"The pay range for this position starts at $17.00; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered."
