OVERVIEW
This position requires a high level of understanding of how plastic injection mold's function and operate. Ability to repair & maintain tooling and fixtures for production & product development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventative maintenance on plastic injection molds.
Operate dry ice machine to clean molds per TPM schedule.
Ability to maintain TPM database for record of completion.
Fit and assemble standard parts into assemblies or mechanisms, using hand tools.
Diagnose, isolate malfunctions, and perform simple repairs to molds and small tooling associated with those molds.
Manufacture new mold components for mold repairs.
Examine and modify molds as required.
Responsible for maintaining equipment in working condition, clean and safe at all times.
Follows all safety procedures and regulations while handling machines, molds, any tools, and cleaning fluids associated with the maintenance and repair of molds.
Operates all tool room machinery and equipment.
Track times required to complete assigned tooling projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
