The Life Sciences Operations team is looking for an Engineer II - Manufacturing to join our team! The ideal candidate will play a key role in the development, refinement, and release of exciting, differentiated technologies to position us as a market leader in our target markets. Key responsibilities and qualifications for success in this role are listed below.
Role Responsibilities:
Assist in onboarding, operation, and standardization of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Provide recommendations and insights from testing using sound engineering judgement to guide manufacturing scale up efforts
Work on multiple projects and prioritize in support of project team
Be able to work in a team environment or independently
Work with a global team of engineers and industry experts
Ensure Environmental Health and Safety concepts are embedded in process and equipment plans.
Provide daily production support and trouble-shooting
Coordinate process design and material flow in designated areas
Lead and sustain 6S program within work area
Participate in product and process development (APD) activities by providing manufacturing expertise
Participate in or lead PFMEA
Participate in or lead equipment and process validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) for new product launches as well as sustain production and validation support for ongoing manufacturing.
Drive process improvement initiatives for department, including attaining Cost Reduction targets
Provide input for capital investment strategy, research new techniques and technology for continuous improvement
Collaborate with other functions to provide the best product and process solutions to our customers
Others tasks as necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science/Manufacturing/Chemistry pr equivalent relevant experience
3 years' experience in the Medical/ Biomedical Industries (other regulated environments may be considered)
Basic knowledge of lab environment and safety practices
Organized and detail-oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
Eager to learn and develop new skills
Experience in Power Bi, Power Apps, Sharepoint, Teamcenter, and Minitab
Good interpersonal and communications skills
Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
Good at documentation and formatting in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Knowledge of test and measurement equipment
Previous experience in a manufacturing setting/pilot process.
