What WillBe Your Purpose

The Sr. Manager provides direction and leadership to maximize the overall value of Florida Blue's corporate development and strategic investments initiatives. The Sr. Manager engages with executive leadership to identify, evaluate and execute strategic investments and business development initiatives, including mergers/acquisitions, divestitures, principal investments, joint ventures/alliances and partnerships that support enterprise business strategy. Activities include performing due diligence on potential transaction targets, operational and financial modeling, and preparing internal deliverables for Florida Blue's senior leaders and Board of Directors. The Sr. Manager will be a key participant in the transaction process to build capabilities and support the strategic objectives of the enterprise. They will also engage with a wide range of internal and external business executives, capital markets partners, financial investors and thought leaders on a national basis to explore and develop new business opportunities, advance business strategy, and build strategic relationships for the Enterprise.

What You Will Be Doing

* Working in partnership with executive management, cross-functional leaders and reporting to the CDSI Principal, the Sr. Manager will help identify, evaluate and execute strategic investments and business development initiatives, including mergers/acquisitions, divestitures, principal investments, joint ventures/alliances and partnerships that support enterprise business strategy.

* Participate in all aspects of the end-to-end strategic investment process, including due diligence, financial modeling and transaction negotiations.

* Analyze potential strategic investments' financial and operational performance and build financial models depicting a company's historical and future results.

* Manage and develop projected financial and investment returns analysis involved in review of future or existing strategic investments.

* Assemble and support teams responsible for all activities associated with a transaction; ensuring the appropriate resources are organized and aligned to support the project.

* Provide strategic perspective, identifying connections and synergies within future and existing investments.

* Identify systemic risks, facilitate development of mitigation plans, and assessment of potential impact.

* Present summaries and recommendations to executive leadership to gain alignment and support.

* Cultivate and build trust-based relationships with internal and external business leadership.

* Provide timely reporting and analysis of national and local market healthcare trends, competitive insights, and other updates as needed.

What You Must Have

5+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education

Experience working in at least one of the following business disciplines: investment banking, private equity, corporate development, M&A transactions or a highly acquisitive private equity healthcare portfolio company

Related Bachelor's degree

What we Prefer

Spanish speaking

3+ years direct supervisory/management experience

Prior experience with the healthcare industry, preferably in healthcare services

Experience working in investment banking, private equity, venture capital or an investment firm, or a corporate development department with exposure to strategic investing

Demonstrated ability to understand complex business strategies and the development of solutions aligned to those strategies

Annualized Salary Range: $114,200 - $185,500

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $114,200 - $142,700

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
