Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Railroad Bridge Engineer to assist on a variety of public and private sector infrastructure projects in Jacksonville, FL! The Bridge Engineer will participate in the design of railroad bridge projects for public and private sector clients from scoping through construction phases.

Responsibilities

  • The selected candidate will work in the Infrastructure Department (Rail Discipline) on various projects including new or rehabilitated bridges, culverts, and associated site work.
  • Work opportunities in other similar service lines may be available (bridge, highway, etc.) to broaden your career, or provide introductions in other groups/managers.
  • Responsibilities will include the preparation of a variety of engineering analyses and computations, CAD drawings, technical reports and cost estimates.
  • Close coordination with your engineering peers in the highway/traffic, construction inspection and water resource divisions.
  • Occasional field work and bridge inspection duties may be required.
  • Opportunities to experience and participate in the design of structural projects for other related Infrastructure Division departments including Rail, Waterway Structures and Hydropower.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 0-2 years' experience.
  • EIT certification preferred.
  • Ability to work in a professional team-oriented environment.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness for continued learning.
  • Knowledge of AASHTO and AREMA design codes a plus.
  • Knowledge using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation a plus.
