Job Description

The ideal candidate for the Equipment Service Technician role will be located in the Anchorage Alaska area and is someone who embodies a blend of technical skill and exceptional customer service. This position demands a quick learner who can efficiently adapt to various on-the-job situations, as the role involves providing repair services for dental equipment in practitioner's offices under the guidance of a Lead Technician or Project Coordinator. This role is not just a job but an opportunity to grow in a dynamic field, providing crucial services that directly impact the quality of dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fix and sometimes install equipment for customers nicely and professionally.
  • Have all the tools you need to do your job.
  • Finish installing, fixing, and checking equipment with a supervisor's help.
  • Figure out problems and find solutions.
  • Understand what customers need and help them.
  • Keep your van stocked with the right stuff.
  • Write reports about your work quickly.
  • Go to training sessions to learn more.
  • Follow safety rules and wear safety gear when needed.
  • Talk to your team and report your work progress.
  • Finish all your tasks on time and tell customers about what you did.
  • Do all your paperwork on time, like reports and expense forms.
  • Follow rules about using the company car and report any accidents.
  • Help with other projects if needed.

Work Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in fixing things and working with customers.

Preferred Education:

  • High school or special training in this field. A college degree or technical certification is a plus.

General Skills & Competencies:

  • Good at solving problems.
  • Can work on your own.
  • Understand basic computer skills and terminology.
  • Excel at talking to people.
  • Professional and careful.

Specific Knowledge & Skills:

  • Know about systems that use fluids, mechanics, and electricity.
