GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading the execution and performance of the warehouse operations. Supervise forklift drivers, pick line employees, and scanner operators to ensure a safe and efficient warehouse operation., Production line support, the receipt, inventory, and distribution of all material and packaging.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

* Oversee and manage warehouse operations including but not limited to shipping, raw and material receiving, inventory, documentation, and issuing to line.

* Work with the Materials Supervisor and the Logistics Department to assure timely unloading of all materials, avoiding detention costs.

* Ensure all materials are delivered and issued to Production lines.

* Requisition materials and enforce receiving procedures for materials.

* Execute inventory control procedures including first in, first out rotation.

* Provide leadership, direction, development, and training to the warehouse team to meet corporate and site goals and objectives.

* Implement new processes and procedures to improve operations.

* Lead, coach, train, and develop employees to maintain efficient operations to meet goals.

* Schedule work and employees for smooth operations, managing labor efficiently.

* Monitor, maintain, and improve on warehouse Key Performance Indicators

* Maintain reporting and documentation.

* Work closely with other departments (transportation, planning, FSQA, and Customer Service) to assure superior service and receipt/delivery of goods.

* Ensure a safe working environment and strictly enforce all safety rules.

* Execute inventory control procedures including first in, first out rotation.

* Coordinate appropriate training and safety education for warehouse personnel.

* Follow and enforce all Food Safety Requirements and GMPs as applicable to position.

* Support special projects and other duties as assigned.


Required Skills

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

* 3 to 5 years of Warehouse management and/or logistics management.

* Knowledge of material receiving procedures, inventory control procedures.

Food industry & GMP experience preferred.

* Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel or other spreadsheet software.

* Knowledge of SPC, MRP, TQM and APICS. Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.

* Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

* Must have the ability to make decisions, maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to maneuver around an array of equipment, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift 40 pounds. Will have some exposure to fumes and airborne particles. Ability to travel. Able to work in a cold environment (35* on Plant floor).

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Flexibility to work varied hours and shift required.

Ability to travel as needed.


Required Experience

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

* 2- or 4-year college degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

PAY RATE:

* $67,000 - $72,000 Annually
