About the team

Come help build FIS's newest next generation instant payments platform - RealNet RTP. An elastically scalable, cloud-native account to account money movement platform, built with containerized microservices, best in class UX, and end-to-end automation. Our clients get a single seamless API interface to execute a payment in real time that they can track from start to finish through the RealNet UI.

What you will be doing

As part of the team, you'll get to work on an exciting technology stack, the AWS EKS Kubernetes platform, while building a highly scalable, globally available instant payments platform.

• Tech Stack - Java, Kafka, Spring Boot, AWS, EKS(Kubernetes), React, Apigee, Drools
• Create "proof of concepts" for new items on roadmap that may require new architectural components on AWS.
• Help build re-usable, scalable architectural components
• Analyse and coach teams to build integrational pieces between AWS and on prem platforms
• Build and communicate architectural roadmap for the platform based on business and product roadmap
• Coach engineers build the platform
• Help with hiring engineers on the team
• Communicates system architecture to technical and business audiences.

What you bring:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science or engineering or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

• Tech Stack - Java, Kafka, Spring Boot, AWS, EKS(Kubernetes), React, Apigee, Drools
• 15+ years of experience in engineering and architectural roles
• AWS Architect certification
• Hands on experience with building AWS EKS applications
• Experience with Financial services and/or past experience in building any transactional applications is preferred
