About the team
The Production Support team is a 9x5 team operating from Chennai, Bangalore & Pune. The team consist of Mainframe System Administration, Open Systems,MF Batch Scheduling, NDM Administrations & Eazytrieve reporting.. With the recent acquisition of Worldpay, this team will also be at the forefront of integrating activities of our combined organization.
Job Summary:
Provide direct technical support as needed in the planning, coordination, installation, implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to z/OS operating system, network, and component software.
What you will be doing
- Act as support and domain expert for z/OS operating system and system components;
- Works independently with only administrative supervision on highly complex projects with extensive latitude for independent judgment.
- Takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions to solve complex problems
- Ability to provide communication on issues or complex information to a wide audience based on knowledge
- Develops, documents and implements standards, guidelines, direction and education on process/procedures for staff.
- Assigned to highly visible, sensitive and critical projects/tasks.
- Expected to mentor others on staff and is a role model for rest of team.
What you bring:
- Demonstrable skills in zOS systems programming.
- Expert knowledge in JCL. Should be capable of creating new processes using IBM utilities to fulfill client requests by interacting with them and designing a solution.
