Julie Cevallos joined the National Down Syndrome Society as the Vice President of Marketing in August of 2011. She worked most recently at Brooks Brothers, and prior to that Macy's. Her background is in all aspects of marketing, including: communications, direct mail, social media, online marketing and CRM. Julie made the career change to non-profit and specifically to NDSS to devote more time to the cause of raising awareness about Down syndrome in light of her daughter being born with the condition in 2008.
The mission of the National Down Syndrome Society is to be the national advocate for the value, acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. The National Down Syndrome Society envisions a world in which all people with Down syndrome have the opportunity to enhance their quality of life, realize their life aspirations and become valued members of welcoming communities.
