Position Summary
At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.The IT Intern works on a variety of projects and roles throughout the entire profile of the IT department. These roles include but are not limited to Application Development, Business Intel Development, System Support, System Analysis, System and Network Administration.
*Must live in the Birmingham area during the Internship.
Duties
- Works as a team member / resource on the assigned project team within the various functions of IT.

- Customer Service - Provide excellent service and strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
- Learn how to identify, analyze and apply information technology and business practices to support strategic business process/plans.
- Participate as required to design, develop, test and integrate technology.
- Gather business requirements, create documentation, solution concepts, and develop use cases.
- Participate in the implementation of information technology and business processes.
- Perform activities accordingly to project plans and schedule.
- Engage in both formal and ad-hoc on-the-job training.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Degree
High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
- Must be actively pursuing or recently finished formal education degree or trade skill relevant to Information Technology, including, but not limited to, Information Systems and/or Computer Systems.
